ANTIQUE 1920s FRENCH Matelasse Jacquard Weave L Bedspread-Cover-Throw Pink-White

Any questions - please just ask me. Please see all supersize photos. Charming authentic 1920s antique French jacquard matelassé weave bedspread/coverlet/throw/tapestry, handmade in cotton in pink & white floral raised pattern.

This was my Grandparents - it had been in careful storage for decades and never opened, until recently, when it was gently washed. A couple of tiny stains (not that noticeable) which you could have removed. Lovely large flower heads and leaves pattern. Has a distinct centre section within a sculpted diamond shape, an inner border in a chain pattern, and a surround border of more flowers and leaves.

Has a crossed-over fringe on 3 sides - some are loose - again not that noticeable and could be made good. Unique - so much detail. Can be used decoratively in many ways: as a bedspread, a throw - on your sofa, armchair, as a blanket, to upholster an ottoman, fauteuil armchairs or a banquette/bench, or as a wall-hanging.
